Am I able to use Ninny's Napkins products in my handmade goods for resale at craft shows, on Etsy, etc.?
Please read my Angel Policies page for more information on this topic.
How much does shipping cost?
All orders within North America ship for a flat rate of $9.99 CAD (approximately $7.90 USD depending on the current exchange rate).
Orders going anywhere else in the World ship for $14.99 CAD (approx $11.90USD).
All orders over $129.99 CAD ship FREE to anywhere.
What courier is used?
At this time I am using Stallion Express out of Mississauga, ON. I
first have to ship your parcels there using UPS. Once received,
Stallion Express distributes the packages off to other couriers, such as Canada Post. This is why sometimes the tracking info you receive takes a few days to start moving (you won't see anything until it reaches the final courier). I will admit, this may not be the fastest way, but it is the only way to offer reasonable shipping costs at this time.
When should I receive my package?
Depending on your location, it could take anywhere from 3 days to 30 days to reach you from the time it is shipped. I do tend to ship orders very quickly. Please keep in mind that holidays and natural disasters can greatly affect delivery times!
What is decoupage?
Decoupage is actually a very old form of arts and crafts. Simply put, it is applying paper images to objects to decorate them. Decoupage can be done using many different types of papers such as napkins, rice or mulberry paper, tissue, magazine pages, wrapping paper and so on. Typically thinner papers are preferred as they tend to blend into the surface they are being applied to, giving a hand painted look.
You can learn more about decoupage and how to get started on my Videos and Tutorials page.
What are decoupage napkins?
Decoupage napkins are no different from table napkins, in fact they are table napkins. The main difference is that they are typically sold in smaller quantities to crafters who don't want to invest in an entire pack of 20. That can take up a lot of space and the cost of buying full packs can quickly add up!
What is rice paper?
Rice paper or mulberry paper is paper that is made from a rice or mulberry tree. It often shows fibers in the page, giving it an interesting effect. It is used similar to napkins however is a bit thicker and much more durable. It comes in a variety of weights (thicknesses). Rice paper is great for decoupage but can also be used in collage, journaling, mixed media art and many other applications. The only limit is your imagination!
What do the size names mean, for eg. A4, A3, luncheon, cocktail etc?
Here is a handy guide I created to demonstrate the common sizes of napkins and paper that I sell.
Who is Ninny?
Ninny is me! Ninny is a nickname, my full name is Nicole. Nice to meet you!
How do I contact Ninny?
Probably the best and fastest way to communicate with me is by e-mail at NinnysNapkins@gmail.com. But you can also often reach me on Facebook on my business page Ninnys Napkins, or on Instagram @ninnysnapkins.
Feel free to friend me on Facebook as well (a great way to message me directly) - Nicole Ninnys Napkins.
Who is CreativeKady?
CreativeKady is Karen Burchill, you may know her best from her YouTube channel Mixed Media Creations. Among other roles in the arts and crafts world, Karen is part of the Ninnys Napkins design team.
How many napkins will I get?
Most of my listings are for a pair of two individual napkins. Surprise
packs have either 10 or 20 napkins in them, your choice. If you aren't sure how many napkins you'll be getting, I will always let you know in the description of the product listing.
Where are Ninnys Napkins products being shipped from?
Ninny lives in Ontario, Canada, and all products are shipped to you from her, with the exception of CreativeKady's Mixed Media Kits, which are shipped from BC, Canada.
Does Ninny only ship within North America?
Nope! I ship to anywhere in the WORLD!
Do you offer free curbside pickup?
Yes, you are welcome to pick your order up BY APPOINTMENT only at my distribution centre just south of Angus, ON. I require an appointment because I do not have set hours at the distribution centre (we are there to pack orders and when we are done, we go home), so I would not want you to drive there and find out we aren't there.
The address is 104 Murphy Road, Angus, ON, L0M 1B1.
If Ninnys Napkins is a Canadian company, why is the URL a .com?
I actually own NinnysNapkins.ca as well, however since I ship around the World I chose to make NinnysNapkins.com my primary URL because it is more commonly recognized.
So you're a Canadian company, but are your products manufactured in Canada?
At this time the majority of products at Ninnys Napkins are manufactured in Europe, South Africa, USA and Canada. I honestly don't know of a single napkin brand that is printed in North America, if you do, I would love to hear about it! In the future I would love to source out more craft supplies made in North America, but I will also always continue to carry the gorgeous high quality European napkins and craft supplies.
