Private Workshop FAQ's
How do we start the process?

How far in advance should we book a private workshop?
We require a minimum of 2 weeks notice for private workshop bookings. We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekends and holiday seasons, as availability can fill quickly.
When do we need to finalize our participant numbers?
Final participant numbers must be confirmed at least 7 days prior to your workshop date so we have time to prepare and gather materials for your group.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a $100 + HST deposit is required to secure your booking date. Due to advance preparation and custom materials, deposits are non-refundable.
What if we need to reschedule?
If you need to reschedule, we’ll do our best to accommodate a new date with sufficient notice and subject to availability.
Do we need to bring anything?
We provide all supplies unless otherwise stated. Aprons are available but we still recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting paint on, especially if you plan to wear long sleeves. We have bottled water available, you are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, and a lunch if applicable.
Are adults required to stay during kids’ workshops or parties?
Yes, we require at least 1 supervising adult for every 6 children attending. Due to space limitations, we ask that additional parents or guardians do not remain during the workshop unless they would also like to participate. Participating adults will be counted as guests and regular workshop charges will apply.
Is there an option to have alcohol at our event?
Yes, but you will need to obtain a Special Occasion Permit at least ten days in advance. Here is the link: https://www.agco.ca/en/alcohol/apply-sell-or-serve-alcohol-private-event
We can also obtain the permit on your behalf for an additional fee, please inquire.
Can food or refreshments be arranged for our workshop?
Yes! We can help arrange food and refreshments for your private workshop, including pizza from a local pizzeria, catering options, or pastries and treats. Let us know what you’re looking for when booking and we’ll be happy to discuss available options.
Do participants need to be creative or experienced crafters?
Not at all! Our workshops are designed to be fun, relaxed and beginner friendly. If your group is simply looking for a creative day out rather than a detailed craft project, we especially recommend our Creative Gathering workshops, which are perfect for casual crafters and first-timers alike.
