Materials Needed

• Rice Paper: I used ITD Collection R2458 (Hydrangea design) or other printed rice paper.
• White Rice Paper: For background coverage.
• Decoupage Glue: Fusion Mineral Paint Decoupage Transfer Gel, Stamperia Rice Paper Glue, or Polyvine Varnish.
• Brush: Stamperia KR37 or KR38 flat brush for smooth application.
• Water: In a small container for tearing paper edges.
• Heat Tool: Optional, for faster drying.
• Craft Lights: Cork-style LED lights (cool white, warm white, or multicolored).

   • Decide which parts of the printed rice paper to use for the focal points. For the hydrangea design, choose sections that will highlight the bottle’s shape and aesthetic.
     
     

Step 2: Prepare the Rice Paper

1. Tear the Edges:

   • Begin by tearing off the straight edges of the white rice paper to create a feathered look. This helps the pieces blend seamlessly into the background.
   • A small brush dipped in water can help soften edges, but it's not strictly necessary.
     

2. Tear Pieces:

   • Tear the rice paper into roughly 2-inch square pieces. The sizes can vary slightly to avoid uniformity. For efficiency, stack multiple sheets and tear them together.
     
     

3. Water-Cut Details:

Step 3: Apply Rice Paper
