Workshops
Below are details on some of the workshops you'll be participating in during the event.
Shabby Chic Wall Hanging
For this workshop we will apply beautiful vintage style rice papers to discarded skid boards to create our own gorgeous one-of-a-kind wall hanging. Customize your piece with stenciling or resin castings.
Upcycled Cabinet Door Serving Tray
We'll be using paint, transfers, varnish and more to turn a discarded cabinet door into a functional work of art in this workshop.
Coffee Can Upcycle
In this workshop we'll turn a recycled coffee can into a functional work of art that will make a great spot to display your fall flowers, kitchen utensils, paint brushes or whatever your heart desires.
We'll use crackle glaze, napkins, and resin castings of your choice to create a one-of-a-kind piece to suit your decor and style.
Prep and Paint
You are invited to bring your own small (read easy to carry) item to work on. There will also be opportunity to purchase a piece. We'll teach you how to fully prep and paint your piece, and get it ready for decoupage on the final day. Suggested items: breadbox, serving tray, vase or bottle, plate, book, drawer, box etc. Please send a picture and description of your item for pre-approval if you are unsure.
CD and Scrap Wood Key Holder
CD's are quickly becoming outdated, but what options exist for disposal once you no longer listen to them? Turn them into works of art instead! In this workshop we'll turn CD's, discarded pieces of wood, and even antique square nails into a key holder that you can be proud to display in your home. There are many options to customize this piece and make it entirely your own.
Other Info
-All supplies will be provided for workshops (with the exception of the bring your own piece). Tea, coffee, water and light snacks will also be available between meals.
-This event will be catered by local restaurant Sabrina's Home Kitchen and includes 3 lunches and one buffet dinner. Gluten free and vegetarian options will be available. If you have any other dietary restrictions we are eager to accomodate, please reach out to discuss.
-There will be contests and prizes throughout the weekend, along with a grand prize draw ($150 value) for one lucky ticket holder on Sunday.
-Saturday will include a field trip to local antique shop the 3 Lil Pigs. Tickets include a $20 voucher to use in the shop. Please bring cash if you wish to make other purchases at 3 Lil Pigs, debit or credit are not available.
-Your ticket also includes a %10 off coupon to use on any purchases made within the Everett Emporium throughout the weekend. We accept cash, credit, debit and apple pay.
-You are responsible for finding and paying for your own accomodation if needed. Feel free to reach out for recommendations for local hotels etc
