Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prepare your base
Start with your chunky wood house and paint it white. Allow it to dry completely.

2. Prepare your napkin
Cut your napkin into quarters. Carefully remove the two white plies from the quarter you’ll be using, leaving just the printed layer.

3. Apply the napkin

Brush a thin coat of Polyvine Decorators Varnish (in your chosen finish) onto the side of the house you want to decoupage. Lay your napkin on top. Use your decoupage brush with a little varnish to smooth the napkin, starting from the center and working outwards. Allow some overhang on each side of the house.

4. Trim the excess
Once totally dry, use an emery board to gently sand off the excess napkin along the edges.

5. Repeat on the back
Apply the same process to the back of the house with your second napkin design.

7. Protect your project
Apply another coat of Polyvine Decorators Varnish over the entire house to protect your finished design.

8. Optional - apply special effects such as Shimmer Spray and Ranger Glossy Accents.
